Novi Website Design and Development

Where a lot of the supply base keeps its head office.

Novi is head-office country. Magna Seating runs its operation from Cabot Drive; HINO Motors Manufacturing USA is headquartered here. That concentration means the people inside these buildings are specifying, sourcing and qualifying rather than producing — which makes them the single most valuable audience a Tier 2 supplier can reach, and a very demanding one to present to.

Start a project What is here

What is actually here.

Checked against company and primary sources before publishing, with each source named. Claims that could not be verified were left out, including several supplied to us that turned out to belong to other communities.

01

Magna Seating, on Cabot Drive

Magna's seating business operates from 30020 Cabot Drive — three floors and roughly 180,000 square feet, with around 450 people in accounting, sales and marketing, purchasing, human resources and engineering. That is an administrative and engineering population, not a production one.

02

HINO Motors Manufacturing USA

HINO Motors Manufacturing USA is headquartered in Novi. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hino Motors of Japan and part of the Toyota group, with truck assembly in West Virginia and axle manufacturing supplying Toyota programs.

03

The Haggerty corridor

Cabot Drive sits in the corporate park along the Haggerty corridor, which runs the boundary between Oakland and Wayne counties. It is one of the densest concentrations of supplier administration in the region, and it is the reason so many head offices here share a postcode rather than an industry.

04

Head offices behave differently from plants

A plant buys maintenance, tooling and logistics. A head office buys engineering services, software, consulting, professional services and marketing. If you sell to Novi, you are usually selling to a procurement process rather than to a plant manager, and the site has to survive that reading.

05

Trade shows and the calendar

Novi hosts a significant exhibition and conference venue, which puts a steady flow of industry events on the doorstep. For suppliers that means the website is frequently the follow-up to a conversation at a stand, and it should be built to survive being checked the same evening.

06

A city, cleanly incorporated

Novi is a single incorporated city with no township twin, which removes the address ambiguity that quietly damages local rankings in Plymouth, Canton and Northville. If your listings are inconsistent here, the cause is something else.

07

On the Oakland-Wayne line

The county boundary runs close, and businesses here routinely serve both sides of it. Being deliberate about which county and which communities you present as your service area is worth more than claiming the whole region.

Twenty minutes from our office

We work from 595 Forest Ave in Plymouth, straight up Haggerty. Close enough that meetings, photography and sitting in on a sales conversation are routine rather than an expedition.

Who we build for in Novi.

A corporate population rather than an industrial one, and a correspondingly different brief.

Automotive and mobility suppliers

Businesses selling into the head offices here, where procurement and supplier development check you long before a conversation starts.

Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers

Process houses and specialist shops that a sourcing team needs to find, evaluate and qualify quickly.

Professional and B2B services

Firms selling into corporate buyers with long cycles and crowded committees, where a due-diligence read matters more than a first impression.

Technology and engineering services

Software, simulation, testing and prototyping businesses selling to technical buyers who read specifications rather than slogans.

Manufacturers and distributors

Found by capability and specification, with a quoting path rather than a checkout.

Contractors and specialty trades

Serving both the corporate parks and a substantial residential base, and won largely in local search.

What being up the road changes.

Haggerty connects our office to yours. On supplier projects that matters more than it sounds.

01

We can see the product

Photography, a process worth watching, a range that needs handling before it can be described. An afternoon on site beats weeks of clarifying email.

02

We can sit with the people who sell

The objections your team answers weekly are what the site should answer first, and questionnaires do not surface them.

03

Launch day has someone reachable

Same time zone, twenty minutes away, phone answered while DNS propagates.

04

You can check we are real

Come to the office. In a category with a lot of resellers presenting as local agencies, that is worth more than it used to be.

What we do for businesses here.

Strategy, design, engineering and growth from one senior team, including the supplier-specific work most agencies subcontract.

Start a project
01
Capability and certification presentation

Standard, scope, certifying body and expiry as readable text rather than a scanned image. Cheap to do and conspicuous when missing.

02
RFQ paths that take a drawing

Large-file upload, a stated confidentiality position before the file is sent, and routing to whoever actually quotes that process.

03
Program history without breaching an NDA

Component type, process, volume band, launch role and years in production — persuasive without naming a customer you cannot name.

04
ERP, PIM and CRM integration

One source of truth for price, stock and lead time, synced on a schedule people trust and alarmed when it fails.

05
Technical and answer-engine visibility

Pages specific enough to be quoted when a buyer asks an assistant who can run a process near a plant.

06
Hosting, care plans and support

Monitored, backed up nightly off-server, updated and verified, with a senior first reply in four business hours.

Questions from Novi businesses.

We sell to the head offices here. What does our site need to do?

Survive a procurement read. That means scope, capability, capacity and certification stated plainly and checkably, program history expressed in a way your contracts allow, and no claim that cannot be evidenced. Corporate buyers discount superlatives automatically and reward specificity.

Our customers will not let us name them. Can we still show proof?

Yes, and it is routine. Describe the component type, the process, the annual volume band, the launch role and the years in production without the customer name. Buyers in this industry read that fluently — it is how the sector talks about work it cannot attribute.

We exhibit at shows. How should the site support that?

Assume it is checked the same evening, on a phone, by somebody who spoke to you for four minutes. That argues for a fast site, a clear statement of what you actually do, and a follow-up path that does not depend on them remembering which stand you were.

Can you work inside a parent company brand system?

Routinely. Corporate guidelines, an asset library, an approvals chain, an IT security review or a mandated hosting posture are all normal here. We would rather plan around them from the start than meet them at design review — it is usually the approvals timeline that moves a date, not the guidelines.

Do you build supplier portals?

Yes. Spec sheets, drawings, certificates, packaging standards and terms, behind a login where that is appropriate. It is frequently the highest-value part of a supplier build and almost always missing from the original scope.

Can you connect to our ERP?

Usually. Epicor, Plex, NetSuite, Dynamics, Global Shop, IQMS or something older with one person left who understands it. If it has a database, an API or a reliable export, we can work with it — and where it genuinely cannot be reached we will say so rather than sell an integration we cannot deliver.

How do we handle ITAR or controlled data?

By scoping it before design rather than after. That ranges from a confidentiality statement at the point of upload, through a click-through mutual NDA, to keeping controlled work off the public site entirely and routing it through an access-controlled path. If it applies to any part of your work, raise it in the first conversation.

How long does a project take?

A focused marketing site is eight to twelve weeks. Catalog, quoting and integration work runs longer and gets phased so something useful goes live first. Content and feedback turnaround on your side moves the date more than our capacity does, which is why we agree both up front with dates attached.

What does it cost?

Scoped in phases with a budget against each, approved one at a time. We are not the cheapest option in the area and do not try to be — the work we get hired for is usually the work that goes wrong when it is done cheaply.

Who will actually do the work?

The people you meet. We are deliberately small and senior, so the person who scopes your project builds it and answers when you email eighteen months later. That limits how much work we take on and it is the main reason clients stay.

Do you work with our internal marketing team?

Often, and it works when the split is explicit. We tend to own the site, the integrations and the technical search; they own campaigns and brand. What fails is an unclear boundary where both sides assume the other is watching the numbers.

Can you take over a site somebody else built?

Most of what we look after, we did not build. We audit it first — what is installed, what is out of date, what has been edited directly on the server, what is at risk — and give you a plain assessment before anything is agreed. Occasionally that assessment is that it is not worth maintaining.

How quickly do you respond?

Four business hours for a first reply, from somebody senior enough to assess the problem rather than log it.

Do you offer hosting and maintenance?

Yes, and most clients take it. Updates applied and verified, nightly off-server backups, monitoring, malware scanning, and a monthly report written by the person who did the work rather than exported from a dashboard.

What happens to our rankings if we rebuild?

They are protected deliberately rather than hoped for. Every old URL is mapped before launch, redirects verified in a single hop, and the structure designed so the pages that already rank keep a home. A migration without a redirect map is the fastest way to lose traffic you paid years to build.

Do you only work with automotive?

No, though it is a large share of what we do. The common thread is a technical buyer and a considered purchase, which describes a lot of businesses that have nothing to do with vehicles.

Our head office is here but our plant is elsewhere. Which does the site lead with?

Both, separately and clearly. Buyers evaluating capability want the plant — equipment, capacity, certification scope, location. Buyers evaluating the company want the head office. Merging them into one vague 'about us' is how supplier sites end up unable to answer either question, and it is a structural problem rather than a copy one.

Do trade show leads actually convert from the website?

They convert from the follow-up, and the website is the follow-up's credibility check. Somebody who spoke to you for four minutes will look you up that evening on a phone, usually in a hotel. If the site is slow, vague or clearly out of date, the conversation quietly ends there and you never learn why.
